Performances

“Come Bach”

  • After the success of ABC d'airs, here comes the new opus "COME BACH" by the same Quartet composed of a Double Bass, an Oboe/English Horn, a Piano, and a Voice.
Moreover, the concept breaks the norms: no sheet music, no chairs—the musicians are finally free! This gives rise to a "staged" concert, where sight and movement complement the artists' musicality. A play space is created by these four performers with complementary temperaments, allowing their quirky, luminous, and offbeat diversity to shine. Four astonishing virtuoso musicians throw themselves into an unusual concert centered around the God of musicians: Johann Sebastian BACH.
  • Musicians: Anne Baquet (voice)
Claude Collet or Christine Fonlupt (piano)
Amandine Dehant or Jeanne Bonnet (double bass)
Anne Régnier or Ariane Bacquet (oboe & English horn)
  • Staging : Gérard Rauber

    “Variations et Bergamasques”

  • This program was performed at Salle Cortot in March 2023 with the actor William Mesguich, reciting poems that inspired these three composers.
  • With "Variations et Bergamasques," Christine Fonlupt aimed to highlight French music from the 1890s through the forgotten figure of pianist and singer Thérèse Roger—a dear friend of Chausson, an unfortunate rejected fiancée of Debussy, a student of Fauré, and the dedicatee of his Theme and Variations, featured in this album. Chausson's 4 Dances op. 26 are a moving homage to the 4 Dances of the Suite Bergamasque. The recording also includes 4 other youthful pieces by Debussy. In addition to these three major works, Debussy's 2 Arabesques, Ballade, and Rêverie complete the program.

    Available at: FNAC and Leclerc
Listen to: Clair de Lune by Debussy, Pavane by Chausson, Forlane by Chausson, Theme by Fauré

    "Piazzolla y poetas"

  • "Piazzolla y poetas" is a lyrical, poetic, and choreographic recital around poets set to music by Piazzolla, with Vincent Pradourat and Philippe Picot.

"Piazzolla y poetas" is an ode to Tango and its city Buenos Aires, a Tango Credo of Love. Piazzolla's music serves the poets of Tango. It evokes the origins of Tango and its evolution—from the mud and bravery of its early days to the sentimentality of 1930s salons. A fantasized history of Tango and its urban cradle... From the imaginary character Jacinto Chiclana created by Borges, referencing the Compadre (a legendary Buenos Aires figure, a sort of Gaucho turned urban vigilante), to a more intimate vision of Buenos Aires personified as a woman who sacrifices herself completely, between gentleness and cruelty.
